Drink water like it matters

You're mostly made of it, you run on it, and it's the one thing you take in more than anything else. Get the water right โ€” clean going in, minerals coming back โ€” and a surprising amount of the "low energy, foggy, thirsty but never satisfied" feeling quietly sorts itself out.

๐Ÿ’ก Why it workswater is the medium everything runs in
1
"Drink more water" is only half the instruction

Water carries your minerals โ€” and minerals are what make water usable. Drink water that's been stripped clean (RO, distilled) and never put anything back, and some people actually feel worse: flat, wired-then-crashed, thirsty again 20 minutes later. That's the classic "I drink tons of water and still feel dehydrated" trap. A pinch of real mineral salt turns stripped water into something your body can hold and use.

๐ŸŸข The move: clean it, then put the minerals back. A pinch of Redmond or Celtic salt in your first big glass โ€” that's the version that actually hydrates you instead of passing through.
2
What's actually in your tap โ€” a reason to filter, not to panic

Chlorinating water was a real public-health win. The catch is the trade-off chemistry: chlorine reacting with organic matter forms disinfection byproducts linked to elevated bladder-cancer risk over decades of exposure. Add what the plant doesn't remove โ€” lead from old pipes, nitrates from farm runoff, trace pharma residue โ€” and you've got a simple case for a good filter. Not fear. Just a filter.

3
The plastic bottle is quietly shedding into your water

Microplastics have now turned up in human blood, arteries, and even the brain. A big chunk of your intake comes straight from plastic bottles โ€” heat makes it worse. Switching from bottled water to filtered water in glass or steel is estimated to cut your intake from roughly 90,000 down to ~4,000 particles a year. Same effort, far cleaner input.

4
Filter + remineralize are two ends of one move

Filter without remineralizing and you're drinking flat, stripped water. Remineralize without filtering and you're just salting the chlorine. Do both, in that order โ€” clean it, then put the minerals back โ€” and they reinforce each other. Everything in between (exactly which filter, which salt) is a detail; getting both halves is the whole game.

โœ•
Alkaline-water machines / ionizersYour body tightly regulates its own pH no matter what you drink โ€” the machine can't override that. Put the money toward a real filter.
โœ•
Premium bottled water as your daily sourceA huge markup for water that's often just filtered tap โ€” shedding microplastics from the bottle the whole time. A one-time filter costs less over a year.
โœ•
A basic pour-through pitcher, thinking it's "clean"A Brita fixes chlorine taste โ€” that's it. It doesn't reliably remove byproducts, lead, nitrates or PFAS. Fine as a first step; don't mistake "tastes better" for "clean."
โœ•
$40 mineral-drop bottles when real salt does itTrace drops are fine โ€” but a pinch of quality mineral salt does the same job for pennies.
โœ•
"Structured" / "quantum" / "hexagonal" waterNo credible evidence behind any of it. Marketing language wrapped around ordinary water. Skip it.
